What my lovely artists are saying.
“It is a joy to work with Pop of [Colur]’s Clarence Charron. Clarence is a wonderful listener and advisor who offers fresh, insightful perspectives while producing clean, professional design. Clarence patiently nudges projects forward, moving them away from creative chaos to confident completion. He brings a sense of relief and hope to what once felt impossibly overwhelming.”

Would an executive assistant be helpful to my music career?
NO, if…
You consider your music more of a hobby than a career path.
You’re still in the micromanaging phase of artistry and can’t trust anyone else.
You’re signed into a deal that doesn’t let you have control over your own career.
You’re not open to new, unconventional ideas.
YES, if…
You’re a professional musician struggling to get everything done on your own.
You need someone who will actively listen to you talk about your creative ideas, and also has more music business experience than your boyfriend/mom/barista.
You understand that you are an entrepreneur as much as you are an artist, and that both excites and scares you.
You’re ready to have it all - a fulfilling artistic career, a steady income, work-life balance a loyal fanbase, a team that understands you, and some semblance of sanity.
FAQ
Are you a virtual assistant?
Not quite.
Unless you spend a lot of time and effort training them, “traditional” virtual assistants are best equipped for monotonous, impersonal tasks. If they don’t work in the music business, they won’t be able to do anything proactive.
Why not just hit the ground running with someone who already works in this industry, has contacts, and understands you right away?
Are you a manager?
Not quite.
Whereas a manager traditionally makes 15% of whatever you make, and maintains a sunset clause where they can keep taking a cut years after you two stop working together, what we’re doing has a monthly fixed fee, and a clean break if we part ways.
Where are you based?
I live in Ottawa, the capital of Canada, and live on Eastern Standard Time.
However, thanks for the wonders of the internet, I can work with you no matter where you are in the world, as long as your country has English as an official language.
I already have a team, can we still work together?
Every agreement is different, so this would be best discussed on a call.
If you have a record label or publishing contract, make sure you have ownership of your name and likeness, masters, and social media accounts.
Do you offer refunds?
Due to the live, collaborative nature and 100% tailored-to-you experience you get in this program, we do not offer refunds. This is why the application process is so thorough, to make sure you will be able to get the most out of this partnership
What industry experts are saying.
“Clarence is like a bright shining light in the sea of misinformation we know as the music business. I’ve had a chance to collaborate with him on several occasions, be a guest on his awesome late-night show, and working on resources for musicians. His passion for helping guide indie musicians is only outweighed by his persistence and creativity.”
— Leonard Patterson, Indie Band Coach
